Which Monitor for $$$

I have $1500 to spend on a monitor...any suggestions?
I'd like a nice LCD if possible (need sharp text, but also like games).

Well, I dont know if it will work on a PC, but the Apple Cinema display's are breathtaking. Expensive to.
Check them out. Other than that, I would go with a Large Samsung LCD. They seem to win most quality awards.

I dunno the particulars on models, but I'd sure agree with taking a look at the Samsungs. They're getting a bigger market share all the time, and now some very nice models are showing up in mainstream retail like Sears, which is great for price competition.

I'm just floored when I see the latest tv's and monitors, and those Samsung widescreen lcd's are among the best as far as first impressions. I'm happily using a Samsung DF
