Which monitor do you think is better (deciding between two 27 inch monitors)

The one from Best Buy is by HP and the one from Canada Computers is ASUS and is about $30 cheaper with mail in rebate but has a black frame.

Asus, no doubt, better response time which is better for movies and gaming.

IPS vs TN.
The HP has an IPS panel.
This will help reduce colorshift from off angle viewing. Since 27" is rather big especially at 2-3ft, the Asus TN will probably not look as nice around the edges due to off angle viewing. If gaming/viewing images/movies, because of off angle viewing on a TN, shadowy/darker areas will have less observable detail along the borders of the screen.

If you're using the monitor for work or video/image editting/regular gaming go with the HP
If you're using the monitor for mostly fps gaming/professional gaming especially for twitch shooters, go with the ASUS.
