I am contemplating between two motherboards right now and I don't know which to pick. Cost is not an issue so it's more things like which board is faster.. more stable... that kind of thing as apposed to which one has onboard this or raid that. The two motherboards are the ECS ELITEGROUP K7S5A and the MSI K7T Turbo. The nice thing about the ECS is that it has DDR slots which the MSI doesn't. I've got an T-Bird 1.33, 60 GB Fireball HD, 1 GB ram, SB audigy mp3+, etc and I'd like to overclock the 1.33 to whatever I can.

Which one of these boards will suite my needs better?

I have the ECS board on the computer that i am typing on which i upgrated from the K7T. (what a coincidence)

The ECS board is faster than the MSI board espcially with DDR.
However i still think the K7T is much more stable even though the ECS board has never crashed on me.
Another thing is that with the ECS board you can only change the FSB but there is a modification guide @ ocworkbench which allows you to change the multiplier.

I would just get the ECS board beacause of ddr and the chipset is faster... read up in the motherboards forum beacuse many people have been having problems.

Edit: I overclocked my TB 1.0 to 1.4ghz @1.85V (10x138) and my duron 650 to 900 @1.85v (6.5x138) using the ocworkbench unoffical BIOS on the ECS board.
