Which mobo to get?

This is my first build and i wanna get things right. i looked at these and just wanted a second opinion:

The second one you list has a northbridge fan: that would eliminate it for me. Much better cooling solutions out there now, and it's a source of noise, and a possible failure point.

I notice the price on the T1 motherboard plus that CPU is less at Newegg, and, you get a $20 rebate on the mobo:

There have been some dual core v. qaud 6600 discussions, and generally the consensus is that the quad core is the better buy--especially as software catches up with it.
