Which MOBO to Buy"

Looking at ASUS H97M-Plus and Gigabyte GA-H97M D3H. Both have almost identical features. Have built systems using ASUS before but never Gigabyte.

$20 difference in price not a deal breaker.

Thoughts?

I'd agree, the Asus seems to have more features like the M.2 connector, and I think Asus' recent BIOS efforts look like they work more nicely. With them for the same price I think it's a pretty easy choice.

Thanks to both for opinions. ASUS is the one I was leaning toward. Just wanted others opinion re. Gigabyte.

FYI, ASUS it is.

Whenever I look at some item and it only has 4 reviews, I ask myself what are people buying instead of this product? Some of these 97 series chipsets seem a little sparse. The other thing about Asus is they often have some product and they sell a regular motherboard and another one they label pro because it has a couple extra features. However, if you are not using those extra features, why purchase it?

Of course I have seen some other issues people don't like about some motherboards made by Gigabyte having thinner motherboards that may be crowded and unable to support the cooler they wanted. This may only be certain specific motherboards.
