Which MoBo should I replace my RS420 with?

Thoughts? I am thinking of taking my MoBo back to where I got it from and trying another, because of some of the reviews I have read, and while it is a good board, I am thinking there might be better out there and I just didn't look hard enough.

Also I am running an ATI x700 Pro, that isn't going to prove any problems with the nforce chipset is it? I doubt that nvidia would do that, but I just thought I would ask.

Any nforce4 board should be fine, but it depends on what yoru doing. DO you plan to OC?

X700 will work fine with the nforce4's.

Did you buy online or B/M? Will there be a restocking fee?

Reason I'm asking, I've been thinking about trying one of these and just keeping the Vinnie I'm replacing......

Brick and mortar. At Microcenter, they were about the same price as Newegg and I didn't have to pay for shipping. So it evened out. No, I don't plan on overclocking. Stock settings. Part of the reason the CPU and MoBo I have are going back it because even with stock settings, when I ran Prime95 last night the CPU temps were upp at 61c. Which is WAY to high for my tastes on an Athlon 64 3500+ (winnie) Also I am considering the Asus A8V-E DELUXE, what are thoughts on this one as well?

Your returning your board because the temps are high? Doesn't make much sense. Sounds like a cooling problem to me as I have the same board and have not experienced any problems. It is probably one of the most stable boards that I have used in a very long time. *shrug*

No the board is going back because I originally purchased it for the onboard video and then went ahead and got the x700 anyway. So the onboard video became moot. The CPU is going back because of heat issue, and cooling was not a problem, i had plenty of air flow in the case with 2 120mm(intake, exhaust) but I think the stock HSF had some issues, we will see, as I am eimply exchanging it for the same thing, as I like the performance aside from the heat. The MoBo is going back simply because I was not thrilled with it's constuction. Over all I liked it, but there were just a few small things that got on my nerves. I think after reading alot of the reviews on here and checking out other reviews on the web, that I am going to go with teh DFI LP UT Ultra D, because it has the best set of features, which I won't use many of now, but if I ever decide to OC any, they will be nice.
