I am in the process of building my first PC and I have no clue which mobo to get. I have been researching now for about three months and every time I think I know which mobo to get some oen comes out with a new one, go figure. I'm at the point where I need to start bying the parts needed for my PC. I know that I'm going with an AMD 1Ghz Thunderbird and I don't plan on overclocking. I'm not really interested in RAID. Which of the many mobos out there would be nice. The one I have been thinking about getting is the MSI K7T Pro2a. But I'm not sure anymore.

This is what I plan on getting:

AMD 1Ghz Thunderbird
PANASONIC CW-7585B 32X-READ/8X-RECORD/4X-REWRITE
IBM 45GB ULTRA-ATA/100 7200RPM
ABIT Geforce2 MX
Sound Blaster Live Value
SUPERPOWER ZEPHYR KS-201XP MIDDLE TOWER W/300W ATX PS
TEAC 1.44MB FLOPPY
Crucial 256MB PC133 CL=2 Unbuffered Non-parity 7.5ns 3.3V 32Meg x 64
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok, here's my take on it.
If you want,
1) overclockability, IWill KK266
2) stability, Asus A7V133
3) price, Epox 8KTA3
