My old Braun rechargeable with cord is about to bite the dust so I?m in the market for a new shaver. I?d like something rechargeable with a good beard trimmer that also uses a cord. Which makes and models do you recommend?

Also where would you purchase one?

Norelco

CostCo B&M sells the Norelco for:
$79.99 Norelco ReflexAction 5842XL which appears to be a discontinued model because I can't find any pictures or specs for this shaver. CostCo SKU 388056.

$89.99 Norelco Advantage 6735XD with BONUS which includes 5 additional lotions.

I used to use a Norelco when I first started shaving...then by the time I turned 17 I found electrics just didn't shave my thick stubble close enough. Nothing beats my Mach3 these days. Are there any mach3 converts that are as happy with an electric?

I'm quite partial to my Braun 255, easy to take with me on a trip, and it gives a good shave too. I'd look into a new Braun myself. Not sure where to buy one though, I'd guess someplace like Sears or something.

I bought Gillette's new and improved Mach 3 with 6 blades for like $6 or $9 last weekend at CostCo B&M because I can't find where I put the charger to my Norelco.

I've got a blue Norelco, the one with the "goo" or the built in shaving lotion dispenser.

I used a Norelco 6705x for awhile (it had the Nivea goop in it) but I kept gettin ingrown hairs on my neck (ugh!) So I switched to Mach3 and I haven't looked back. BTW, anyone know where I can order CHEAP Mach3/Mach3 turbo cartridges in bulk??? It sucks paying like $20 in the store for an 8-pack...I know I've seen bulk packs on eBay but I was wondering how I can buy them directly.

8 pieces of plastic and metal for $20

I have a Norelco Advantage. It works well on my face, but chews up my neck. I used it for a month. It was horrible. I'm back with the blade.

CostCo sells 16 packs for cheap but I can't remember the price. I do remember it's substantially cheaper than your local grocery store or even Walmart is.

I use the Gillette Mach3 Turbo Razor or my straight razor exclusively now. I was using the Norelco Electric Razor but it would always get hampered with excessive amounts of hair (I shave my head and face simultaneously most of the time). I recommend HeadSlick shaving creme (here).
