Which memory would be best for me?

G.SKILL DDR2 1000 - $99.99
mushkin DDR2 1000 - $134.99
Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800 - $109.99 w/ Free 2GB USB Thumbstick

Right now, I have an E6300 in a Gigabyte P965-DS3 3.3. I may be replacing the cpu w/ an E8400 if I can budget it in, but currently that's not what I have. I want to try and do some overclocking, but I know this board is finicky w/ the type of memory it uses.

If I get the E8400 then I know DDR2-1000 would be better suited in order to get to 4ghz, but should that be a deciding factor... I can't decide.

So for this board that I currently have, which of the 3 would be the best point. I think the munshkin is probably the best, but at $40 more than the G.Skill I think it's harder to swallow.

Finally, I'm currently using a thermaltake blue orb II for my HSF, this means clearance for the memory slots is limited.

Thanks for your input,

Before you buy anything, you need to answer some questions for yourself.

1)Will an E8400 work with my motherboard? (In other words, has a BIOS been released that will recognize the 45nm CPUs?)
2)If so, do I want to get to 4.0GHz or not? That should absolutely be a deciding factor in what RAM you get. If you want to hit 4.0GHz, you'll probably need to spend more on RAM. If that's not important to you, then spend less and get DDR2-800.
