Which memory to use for Asus A8N-E?

I'm thinking about these two to get for the A8N-E.

I've read everywhere here that ValueSelect may be the best choice isntead of getting the other expensive RAM out there.
Corsair 2GB VALUESELECT

Corsair website says this one is compatible with the A8N, but don't know how it is compared to the ValueRam.
Corsair XMS 2GB

Looking for some recommendations from other OEMs (Mushkin, OCZ, etc.) as well.
Any other suggestions?

Prelim specs:
A8N-E
AMD 4200+ or 4400+

I'm a noob at overclocking and just want to try it once, but won't be a constant overclocker.

People reccomend Value RAM because it has better bang for the buck.
That will be a pretty nice system either way.
If you want the best performance get some good RAM, but understand you normally pay alot more for a small performance increase.

You can do better then that corsiar VS at that price

GSKILL any good? Pretty reputable?

GSKILL any good? Pretty reputable?

G.Skill is fine and they sell some cheap RAM that overclocks well.

Would any type of ValueRam support any light overclocking?

My Corsair VS has UCCC chips and can get up to 260MHz. Of course, you may not be as lucky and may not even be able to get a couple MHz past stock. It doesn't really matter too much when overclocking though. You can always use a divider.

Personally, I like the OCZ Platinum Revision II stuff... get the Revision II stuff only, but I hear it is very hard to find. Maybe eBay? But for RAM, I hate used stuff! Why?

It allows maximum flexiblilty no matter what you are doing as long as the power and cooling issues again are proplerly addressed. You can tighten the timings until you hear the oriental guy who made it screaming for relief at lower clock speeds, yet if you are mentally ill enough to go for nusto things like Peltiers... talking about yourself again Luckyboy?... yes!... you can get it to keep up with some pretty insain clock speeds.

My personal experience with them has been good.
The reviews on them are good, but you can always find a critic.
Take that for what it is worth

Get the VS.

I have the Platinum version of that XMS it runs at the rated timings fine but it doesn't OC well at all. I'm too busy/lazy to mess with a divider.

If your wallet can handle it, 2GB. If not you're still in good shape.
