Which Memory to purchase? PQI vs AData

I have a Dell Q6600 Quad Core system...or course the BIOS is locked so I can't overclock, and I want 4GB of DDR800 in it. I need 1.8V memory in it, this system doesn't like higher voltage chips.

ADATA: Has the pretty heat spreaders, timings are 5-5-5-18 - $68 after rebate

PQI: No heat spreaders (dont think it matters), can't find the timings anywhere, any way theyd be worse than 5-5-5-18? $46 or $56 after rebate (depending if they honor both) - http://www.pqi.com.tw/product2...40&cate1=164&PROID=294


I run folding@home 24X7 so I want good performance, but with timings of 5-5-5-18 I don't see how the more expensive ADATA would be any faster than the PQI... I'm open to other options as long as its under ~$70. Thanks!

I'd go with the PQI - both aren't really new names to the biz and you're just going for stock memory at CAS 5. The PQI is cheaper overall and thats before the rebate even

I'd actually go with the ADATA, not the PQI...

...because the PQI is out-of-stock 😉.

If not for that fact, I'd probably agree to go with whichever is cheaper. I haven't seen many 2GB sticks that are looser than 5-5-5-18. The orange G-Skill C6 2x2GB kit and the OCZ Vista Upgrade (5-6-6-something) are the only two exceptions I can immediately think of.
