Which memory to buy?

Was thinking of buying from zipzoomfly (newegg charges me tax). Which of these is the best, the Corsair Value Select, Crucial, or Samsung Original? I'll be getting 2 x 256MB for a mildly overclocked PC I'm building for someone else.

If you want high speeds (250MHz+ clock) at low latencies, you want these. They use Samsung TCCD ICs on a BrainPower PCB.

Otherwise, if you're going to keep your memory around ~200MHz clock, stick with Corsair Value Select CL2.5.

Well it's a Shuttle AN35N Ultra mobo, with a 2700+ T'bred. I'm not sure what FSB to expect out of that, but since I'm building it for someone else (mom actually), I won't be pushing it to the max. Will I need/be able to run at 250Mhz?

Now me, on the other hand. I bought the same setup to build, but plan to push it about to the max (air cooled). I was looking at the Kingston HyperX, and want 2 x 512MB.

Please help with any suggestions. I've been out of the loop for awhile.

I've never heard of Patriot until now. Is it new good RAM? And I won't be ordering anything from Newegg, if they're the only place selling it.

I have that mobo and I have Corsair Value Ram... even this budget ram can get to 215. I know the mobo goes to 250 in the BIOS, but whether or not it's works is another story.... Get the value ram. Dual channel is nice... get 2 if you want that.
