I have a p4 2.4 on a abit sr7-8x board
I want to over clock it to 3.0
I install the slk-900u and the mininal noise fan on it
and for memory my question is

So should I go with normal crucial 512 pc 2700 ram or go for the corsair 512 pc 3200 ram ?
Will the corsair ram really make a difference with my ocing to make it stable than using the crucial ram. Cause if it doesn't I would rather get a 1g of crucial ram or something else witht he money. Thanks for the help.

I would go with corsair, especially if you would use the XMS series ram, but crucial is also good.

If that's a 2.4B you have, get a different board. if you are stuck with this board then get get some cheap PC2700 RAM because you'll be lucky if to get it over 150 MHz FSB. Otherwise for a 2.4A you'll be lucky to make it to 133Mhz cuz of the high multiplier and even then PC2700 RAM doesnt cost much more than PC2100. So go with the PC2700, you'll never fully utilize the PC3200.

I look at corsair...maybe some older pc3000 sticks like mine...I get 450ddr out of them....

I am just starting to look at the twinmos pc3700 sticks (true pc3700) w/ 4.3ns chips....I am waiting to get some feedback from ppl to see if they are as good as they appear....
