You could wait for additional posts here, but thought I'd throw in my 2-cents worth. I haven't taken the DDR3 plunge yet.
Everyone will tell you that you cannot depend on customer reviews.
I agree with that, but two factors are an indicator to look at: frequency of purchase; and average rating. You have 25 customers in a "normal" sample all posting 5 stars, versus 4 customers in barely a Student's-T sample-size with 50% posting 2 stars. I can only say that the sample of 25 is "more reliable," while I recognize a possibility that one of the 2 out of 4 customers may not have volted his memory enough, or didn't know what he was doing.
The other 2-star customer may have been a newbie to OC'ing.
The heat-spreader design for the "Black-Pi" type modules is pretty good, I must admit, because I have the same design for a set of DDR2-900s.
As I said, somebody else may have experience with the DDR3's you're comparing. I've been really pleased with the DDR2's I got from G.SKILL -- two kits-worth so far.
Check the memory configurator at G.SKILL's site (if they have one) and at your mobo-maker's web-site.
EDIT: Looks like my inclination matched Blain's, even though I don't know diddly-squat about DDR3 kits.
