Which Memory is faster?

I am looking at upgrading the memory in my Acer Aspire notebook. The Crucial memory configurator gives me 2 choices. They are the same price.

1) 1GB X 2 DDR2 PC2-5300 CL=5 DDR2-667

2) 1GB X 2 DDR2 PC2-4200 CL=4 DDR2-533

As I understand, CL=4 is faster than CL=5 but it was also my understanding that DDR2-667 is faster than DDR2-533.

So which is faster or best for me.

I am currently running XP Pro 512MB X 2 DDR2 PC2-4200.

Will I notice a significant difference by going from !GB to 2GB?

Thanks

They would both provide similar performance.

I'd get the DDR2-667 stuff myself...or if you don't think you'd ever have use for the RAM you're purchasing being swapped over to another or new notebook, then whatever matches what you presently have.
Use CPU-Z to indentify what is in your laptop presently.

And if you use the notebook for more than just very basic use, you should see some improvement going from 1 to 2 GB, yes.
