Building my first Intel system since a P3. I am either buying an E6600 with a 1066 fsb or a E6750 with a 1333 fsb. Which speed ram do I need for either one? I'll be using a P35 based board with DDR2. Thanks.

Is there any benefit to getting 1066 memory? I'm used to matching memory to the fsb DDR 2700 for 333 fsb,2100 for 266 etc. I've been out of it for a while so I'm completely lost.

For real world applications no, not really much benefit. There are very few apps that I can think of that take advantage of more memory bandwidth in such a way as to make spending more money worth it IMO.

Memory controllers work via dividers. You can run 266Mhz FSb and still run DDR2-800 speeds. You can run 400Mhz FSB overclock and run 1:1 ratio for DDR2-800 or run 1:2 and run DDR2-1000. Up to you.
