Which memory for Asus Striker Extreme?

Hi guys

I am thinking about increasing my RAM from 2GB to 4GB and was trying to identify which brand/speed/configuration would be the most compatible/stable for the Asus Striker Extreme.

I am using my PC mainly for gaming and I would like to be able to slightly over-clock the memory, but not too much as I am not very experienced at messing with the BIOS...

One question is whether I can go PC2-8500 or I am limited to PC2-6400? The board is said to support only up to PC2-6400 but there are lots of places where people talk about using PC2-8500 without problems. And then again, does it make a huge difference going for the PC2-8500?

Also, I have read (here: http://www.maxitmag.com/maxit-...erboard-review/1.html) that the OCZ and in particular the PC2-8500 (Platinum) goes well with the Striker. What is your experience? Am I stuck with OCZ PC2-8500 (Platinum) 2x2GB? Is it the best/only choice I have? Should I go for the Reapers?

The other big question is whether I go 2x2GB or 4x1GB?...

Please help if you can.

Thanks

screw overclocking. I would just like to know whats the cheapest and safest way to get 8gb on my striker. Prefferably under 100 bucks, at least ddr2 800 and from what people tell me 1.8 volts would be preffered for stability with my finiky board. Suggestions?
