Which media player to use with tons of mp3 in folders?

I have a lot of albums sorted in folders. What media player will simply consider each folder as an album and not make some basic playlist like winamp?

This is for a simple HTPC (no frontend) and I want it simple. Click on album, play. Any ideas?

I would recommend using a program like MP3Tag to clean up your ID3 tags. You can easily reset your ID3 tags based on your folder structure.

Once that's done, almost any media player should be able to build a media library from your files. Winamp, Windows Media Player and iTunes all support ID3-based media libraries.

QFT. Having correctly and fully tagged files is by far the way to go.

You guys are right about the ID3 tags. They are a mess. However I have found a little app called MediaMonkey which is perfect for my needs (manage songs by folders).

I found winamp 5.x's Media Library search to be as good or better than anything else I've used. Making "smart" playlists is a PITA though.

Currently I use just WMP10...but that's because it's convenient and I don't feel like installing additional software.
