Which Mboard for my future RAID setup ?

I would like to start accumulating some info and hardware for my first RAID system within the next 2-3 months.

I want to run a RAID-5 setup with IDE drives on either win2000/XP .

However, can someone tell me where I can go to learn more about RAID's and setup tips and the type of HDD's to buy.

This system is just for home use and I will have the following data to store:
1) about 10 gigs of mp3's
2) software
3) tv shows and VCD's and stuff that I will rip once I start using the ATI AIW card

and lastly, which KT333 board should I buy??
