I am considering upgrading the PC's for my son and daughter; it's a toss up between the asus A7S333PA with the 2700 DDR or the asus A7N266 VM at 2100 DDR.

Is the Video on the A7N266 better than the GeForce2-mx400, which I have one laying about? Which MB should I opt for? Is the 2700 alot better than the 2100? The boy's will be used for light gaming and the girls will be digital photography and office apps.

The video on the nForce board is about like a geForce 2 mx 200. PC 2700 is supposed to be about a 8-10% performance boost on some apps. If your looking for price right now, the NForce will save you some dough, and later you can put a better video card in, and still be happy. If you wanna go all out, then opt for the 333. Best bang for your buck is the nForce, which I have read onboard video is better with 2x Ram slots filled, instead of one stick

 
Yeah, with two sticks of RAM, the onboard video is about equal to a MX 400. The sound is really great, though - compares favorably to a SB Audigy.
