Which Maxtor?

I have the fluid bearings but it's so hard to find them in stock.. everyone sells the other one.. which is like 10 bucks cheaper.. dunno if that reduces the db..
 
w00t! I'd like to know this too. What are the differences between old ones and new liquid bearings? Any potential danger?
 
i downloaded there .pdf fact sheet and the only thing i could tell was it was quieter.


what i want to know is it faster and more reliable?

I am eitehr going to get 2 40 L's or the regualr J series
