The title is pretty self explanatory. I am partial to Gigabyte boards myself but am wondering what else is popular.

I've used ASUS for my last two builds and I'm quite happy with the results and support. I've used the forums on their site and phone tech support, both of which I found to be very helpful. I was this close to going w/ Gigabyte, but previous experience won me over for my latest build. ASUS also has some of the best documentation I've seen for Mobos.

At this time, I like the Abit IP35-E/IP35. Don't have any loyalty to any manufacturer. I want the most bangs for the least amount of $. Don't care for bells and whistles that inflate price.

Asus was the king way back from 1997ish to about 2002 then they fell down more than other companies catching upto them.

Abit was trying to appeal to oc and tweakers until other companies included good oc option

I don't have any favorite now. Price/Performance/Options decide which mobo I buy. So far, I've been happy w/ GB DS series.

i dont really o/c anymore so i just get the intel branded ones. usually they are pretty cheap and the bios updates are easy to apply.

sometimes i will use a ecs if i get a frys deal, since they always bundle those. or a foxconn etc. i generally will use anything but gigabyte and abit.

even though i dont have a window case, the gigabyte color scheme bothers me (i dunno its just ugly) and abit i didnt think was so great back in the k6 days (Well my px5 wasnt so great) and i just have this i cant buy an abit bias. genereally i dont buy asus though because their stuff is just too expensive.
