I have two computers in my dorm room. One has XP on it and the other has Linux-Mandrake 8.1 installed. What I would like to do is setup a internet server through my linux box to my xp box. I would also like to setup a firewall for use at home on a dsl connection. I may also want to setup a printer server as well. So what distro would do all these easily and is cost effective? I have Mandrake 8.1 download edition and I have 3 of 4 cds for RedHat 7.2. Which one of these would do all of this for me and more? LMK

I'm not sure about red hat 7.2, but I tried mandrake 8.1 and red hat 7.1 and found that the built in configuration tools for the stuff you're doing in mandrake were much more useful than the ones in red hat.

either of them will do it pretty easily. the setups are a snap. the question is what all those other packages do. im still trying to figure some of it out but http server, printer server, or ftp server are easily done with either. you only need the first 2 discs for installing redhat. the other discs are extras.
