Which Lenovo laptop to get? High End speed, or fast SSD?

Ok, well I guess I'll let you guys decide. I can only get one of the two modesl below. Should I get the newer T410s with these specs and a probable 128GB Samsung SSD,

T410s Model 2912-2DU i5-520M 2.40Ghz Turbo 2.93 2GB 14.1" WXGA+ 2.0M 128G SSD - Intel 6200 Gobi 2000 Verizon Yes Exp vPro Pro 32

or the T400s which I'm pretty sure has the Intel 80GB SSD. But it could be the Gen 1 version or maybe Gen2. Here are the sepcs:

T400s Type 2823-25U SP9600 2.53Ghz CPU 2GB RAM 14.1" WXGA+ Cam GMA 80G SSD DVD±RW ✥ Intel 5100 WWAN upg

My main goal is/was to get a laptop with the 80GB Intel drive. But on the other hand, the T410s comes with a lot more space and overall faster CPU/chipset. But I don't think the SSD would be as fast as a Intel 80GB. So which one would you take?

Seems to me you can get any model you want and then customize it. With no budget restrictions, pick the body and screen you want and then customize it from there. Lenovo provides many choices.

Sorry, I shouldn't of said my budget is unlimited. Really at this point it has come down to the two models I suggest above. And really, this is mostly due to availability.

I don't understand "availability," unless you mean off the shelf in a store or on line. Every Lenovo model available can be ordered and customized directly with Lenovo. For me, "off the shelf" laptops are always compromises. Having said that, I would go with the best processor. HDDs can always be changed later.

One of those has the GOBI 2000 card in it... Are you really going to use Cellular WAN connectivity? I notice your other config does not have that though is upgradeable to that.

The 80gig SSD in the T400s you cite is current Gen SSD. That is the newer Intel SSD.

The T410s was just announced... You may experience a delay in delivery as those are so new. T400s would have better availability at this point and be probably cheaper.

The new iCore cpu is nice though. It comes down to how long you need to keep a system and what you are going to use it for. Keep in mind that the T410s does indeed have the option of a discrete nvidia card.... The T400s has no discrete option.
