Frys has a Emprex 32" LCD on sale for $397 right now and Costco and Sams always have the Vizio 32" for $597.

I'm wondering if the Vizio really has enough pluses to justify the additional $200 cost of if I should just say screw it and go with the cheaper one.

It's for the bedroom and will not be my primary TV for the home but I will be hooking up a HD cable box.

Emprex in question.

Vizio in question.

Which one would you get?

Or should I just hold and see if I can get a 37" LCD for $400 closer to the holidays?

Help me ATOT, you're my only hope...

I was thinking about this actually.

I think I might have buyers remorse if I bought this now and then saw a 42" LCD for the same price in a few months.

That may be the best thing. Supposedly the LCDs in the 42" range are going to be the ones with the big discounts.

Spend $450 for a 24" Dell screen and be happier with a higher quality monitor that you can watch TV on?

The market is moving to have the Vizio/Westinghouse/Emprex brand 42" LCDs in the $699 price range around Christmas - there have been a couple reports on it. I'd expect the rest to shift, and see some 32" LCDs around $400 if that's the case. I say wait, Fry's has this sale every month or every other month.

If that is true then I'll be replacing my primary TV with that and just put my rear projection TV in the bedroom.
