Which LCD monitor is suited best?

currently I had planned for dual 2005fpw monitors.
But now im I think I am able, rather IF ABLE (looking at AT FS/FT section) to go dual 2405.

However my question would be:

which is more better/practical for me?

Usage:.

Video editing (I need err WANT dual monitor for this reason)

Intensive, detail Visual display (basically, I look for little details in the vids I edit to sync them with the music or trasistion/graphic, obvious decision is - bigger = better for viewing details)

Gaming DUH

Movies.

Games that run in widescreen mode will look good as will letterbox movies, I heard that some games do not scale well on widescreen LCDs but being I dont own one I cant tell you. I run 2 1905FPW monitors and they look great. I would probably go with the 2 2005FPW myself but maybe someone else here has a better insight on the 2405.

i'm running a 2405 as primary and 1905 .. or 1901... bahh not sure, as secondary.

For movies its fine, for games its fine. My only gripe is that game deveolopers are just so lazy about supporting widescreen. But regardless battlefield 2 which does not support widescreen (changing the resolution to widescreen mode just doesnt work that well) so i play it in 1280x1024 instead, was a little wierd at first but now I'm used to it and anything else looks weird. Hope that the new patch will bring propper support.

Dual 2405.

Movies won't look as 'good' on it due to the bigger resolution and scaling. Things when scaled up from native never look as good, then if they were viewed native. If you watch DVD's on your 2405 it won't look as crisp then say on a smaller 20" or a 17". That is a given, but imo they still look pretty good.

The bigger screens just shows how sloppy the low res DVD's are on such a high res screen.

Go with Dual 2405 🙂
