So I finally decided to get a small lcd hd monitor to get for my room and I managed to narrow it down to two samsung models, one at 22" and the other at 24". I'm going to mostly use it for my xbox 360 and watch some movies/dvd's on it as well and MAYBE tv(waiting for fios to come to my neighborhood). One model has the basic HDMI, DVI, and VGA while the other has component ports in additional the previous three.

Lastly, will the contrast ratio be a major difference in the difference of two inches?? Any feedback or comments welcome. Thanks :)

I have the T220HD and enjoy it a lot. It's in my bedroom (I'm living with my parents for the time being) and I use it for television, my PS3, and Blu-Ray/DVDs. Quality is pretty good, and it picks up QAM channels very well. It may not have as many features as a dedicated television, since this is primarily a monitor, but it certainly has enough. Lots of connectivity options. The remote is nice as well.

Edit: Also note, the 24" you linked to is the T240, which does NOT have a tv tuner. The T240HD does have the TV tuner. Also the regular non-HD version does not have a component connection; only DVI, HDMI, and VGA. If you're getting your TV signal through a digital cable box, you should have no problem outputting the HDMI port but if you're getting your TV signal from a traditional coax cable, you'll need the tuner the HD version has.

Yea, I found out there was a T240HD version as well, but now I'm debating whether to get the 24" or the 26". I mean it seems the same, but its about an extra $50-$80 bucks for two more inches. Wondering if i should just save the money and get the 24".
