Which laptop would you want????

Sager link doesn't work.

I9300 "would be" a good choice "if" it had the 6800 video instead of the crap X300, and "if" you used a coupon to get it with great video for under $1200.
 
No contest.
Get i9300 with upgraded 6800 graphics, and save a ton of money (even more with coupon, or about 40% less $ than Sager, while being about 40% faster in games).

Even without coupon, (but why do that?) i9300 w/6800 would be cheaper and much faster. Add 6800, double memory, increase screen to WUXGA (I would stick with WXGA), or increase CPU speed, and it's still less than Sager, plus has 3 years in home warranty, compared to Sager one year? About $1800, but with $750 off coupon!.!.!
 
You can't really compair the two. The sager comes with a Vid camera and a 7200 rpm drive and 10/100/1000 Nic, and a light scribe DVD drive. Where as the Dell can be had with the Nvidia 6800 graphics card. Don't forget to upgrade the dell when you are doing your compairing. Sager has 1gb ram, bluetooth and the vid is 128 not 64.

Sager has 128 meg MR9700, while suggested with i9300 is 256 meg 6800.
Burner in the i9300 is NEC 6500A (usually), which is one of the best for laptops.
Bluetooth 2.0 is $13 dell spare parts, shipped free. Don't buy it with initial order.
Sager wants $65 more for Bluetooth. It is not included in above price.
Light scribe DVD is also $30 extra with Sager, and not included with above price.

Buy 7200RPM drive if you want (I'm assuming the 80GB they include is 4200RPM, DIRT SLOW)
 
So you are saying that theDell will be faster on games and surfing and have better graphics than the Sager if I get the 6800 video card and that it is the overall better choice, the Dell?
 
No not faster. MUCH faster for games.
For web surfing, no difference.
For overall best value, nothing comes close to the Dell deals.

Wow, I am surprised, I did not think that the Dell would be faster at games and surfing than the Sager. I am not really worried about the price though, I just want something that I will be happy with.
 
OMG the Dell will rape that Sager. The GeForce Go 6800 256MB is based on a current generation video card, one of the best in fact. The Radeon 9700 is OOOOLLLLLDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

A lot has changed since the emachine/gateway was a good choice.

I will be getting the Dell 9300 with 256MB NVIDA® GeForce? Go 6800, but i'm not sure if the 1.86Ghz would be much worse than the 2Ghz. What do you think?
