So the deal is that I need one for University. I'm gonna use it let's say in campus, in my lunch break or during courses (classes w/e) for homeworks and such, but also I'm planning on playing World of Warcraft/League of Legends/Dota 2 and also use 3D modeling softwares. Which of those two will fit me better?
Also, I plan on installing Ubuntu/Linux Mint so the operating system does not matter

Find ones that have 14" screens and < 2KG in weight. The ones you've listed are 2-2.5KG. It doesn't look like much but if you're carrying it around, the weight really adds up. Num pad is not very important on a laptop, so 14" ones would fit the bill.

As to which I would choose, I would go for the Asus model. Try searching for laptops that have Haswell processors, your choices only comes with Ivy Bridge processors.

Well, first of all I really care about num pad, I wouldnt buy any if it wouldn't have one. And Secondly, what about the clock speed? doesn't that really cripples gaming?. And lastly, isn't haswell a newer generation that ivy bridge, therefore higher priced? I can't afford paying more.

LoL or Dota 2 should be very playable on either laptop. Not sure about WoW but I think it should do just fine with that processor. Ideally, an Ultrabook or Macbook Air works best if you're carrying it around in campus; emphasizing on lightweight and long battery life. But if you cannot afford them, then take the Asus.
