Which laptop is best for me?

I've been wanting to get a laptop lately for just pretty standard things that you'd use a computer for.

AIM, videos, music, internet browsing, photoshop, warcraft III Dota.

I don't need anything amazing, just something thats good enough to play Warcraft III graphics wise and good enough to run all those other programs.

I've been browsing around online but all the ones I see on like Dell's site look like horrible. Visually I mean.

Anyone sugest a very low end pricey laptop (around $600 or cheaper) that isn't all clunkidy and cluttery and ugly busted looking, that will take care of my needs?

I keep looking through some and they have all this random stuff hanging off them that i'd never use. I like minimal stuff.

Thanks in advance.

i know what you mean by dells pictures. i just bought a 1501 off ebay for 600, but i dont know how it looks in real life yet. vista home premium, turion x2 2.0ghz, ati 1150 256mb shared, 80gb harddrive, wifi, 9-cell battery and trulife screen, and office 07. pretty damn good deal if you ask me, but you might be looking for a lappy with x1400 graphics or better.

You're right, the dells are some pretty ugly computers. Sounds like you'd be more at home on a cheaper Hp or Lenovo notebook, with a 15.4" screen and possibly integrated graphics. By the sound of your needs, especially photoshop, you might want to increase your budget slightly and opt for a notebook with 1gb of RAM, and 80gb HDD and a decent screen. You can get one for ~800-900 that would fit your needs well.

I'd definitely tell you to stick with xp if you can though, as vista only bloats your system further.

XP fo sho.
Link me some laptops to check out. Pretty ones! 😛

I wanted widescreen for sure.

I won't need much HD space. I plan on getting a external HD for everything. 1gig of ram though would be needed. I cant really go past $700 mark.

less than $600 would be awesome.
A non ugly computer.
