which laptop has the lowest temps?

I wanted to get the vostro 1520 but the only thing holding me back is people say it gets uncomfortably hot under the left palm.

what laptops have the lowest temps?

anyway to make them cooler, adding artic silver 3 etc...?

what i'd really like is a metal case like mac book pro

To get a cool laptop you must sacrafice perfromance. The problem with cooling laptops is the limited space availible. So you can't get a good sized cooler inside therer and have allot of nice airflow threw it. Another issue is you can end up trading off silence for a cooling.

But all laptops get fairly hot in one place or another. Its all a matter of how all the parts are layed out on the inside. For the most part they get really hot on the bottom of the unit.
