Actually its not quite worthless, almost all KVM switches use scroll lock to switch between machines. So its actualy a good thing that every keyboard has one key that is used for absolutly nothing...

Start > Control Panel > Accessiblity Options > Check ToggleKeys

It makes your PC speaker beep when you hit CapsLock so you know immediately when you do it.
