Which key for the ~ sign?

Hey guys.

I am trying to run Dosbox. It works fine, but I cannot find the ~ sign on the US keymap. can anyone help?

On my keyboard, you get it with Shift and the key just left of the spacebar
That key has ` and ~ on it

on a regular QWERTY keyboard it's the key to the left of the "1" on the non-numberpad side.

If nothing else works, with NumLock ON, press Alt126.
That will give you ~~~~.

But, on my Saitek keyboard, it is the upper case of the key to the immediate left of 1. It is the same place on my Lenovo T60 laptop, and my IBM USB keyboard.

Same on a Dell Desktop keyboard .. Key just left of the 1 key along the top row
