Which K6-3 is equal to a K6-2 500?

I am planning to upgrade the cpu on my 5 yr-old daughter's super7 motherboard. I've seen K6-2 500s in the $60 range. I've also seen K6-3 350s in the same range. Which of these would be the better upgrade? Thanks

I would say the K6-3 350. You could probably overclock it to 400, if not 450, without any hitches.

The K6-III was only sold in speeds of 400 MHz and 450 MHz.

Actually there are some K6-3 350s floating around. They were designed to be used in laptops, but of course the interface is the same so it will work just fine in a desktop.

Yeah, I've seen K6-3s of 333, 350, and 380 floating around.
