Which joystick is best for any games?

I still have cheapo joystick but it is hard to play with some games that I currently own

Quake 2, 3 and Arena
FS 2002 and 98
RTCW and ET
GTA 2

So which joystick that do you guys recommand the best?
 
FPS games are best played with mouse and keyboard, according to 97% of users.

Flight sims need at least something like the Logitech Wingman series to a Saitek X45, depending on complexity.
 
I agree with the above post. Also, it is personal prefs, ie, what is comfortable, what is easiest etc. I keep meaning to get some cjheapie but goodie joystick for some old school rememberin' 😉 (some Descent playin in my future. Maybe)

I want to use a game pad in a mini van with a computer to play games.

What are good kids games that work with the Logitech Wingman Rumblepad? Or are they better off using a small wireless keyboard with built in mouse?

 
I am itching to try gamepad instead of joystick..my fingers get tired when using keyboard especially playing Ghost Recon games.
 
Mouse + keyboard for first person shooters, adventure games and anything with fast paced action.
Expensive flightstick for Flight simulators.
Game pad for arcade type games ( Hockey games e.t.c )

I use a sidewinder precision PRO 2. Quite good..
