Ok, so i quit carmax a little while ago and have been jobless for a month.

I applied around and just got a few replies this week. One, i got from Chevy Chase Bank and the other from a Ramada Hotel that my aunt's friend owns.

With the hotel, she wants me to work in the office. I know it probably wont pay much, maybe $8.00 an hour, but the work wont be stressful and I know the owner. She said she would train me in a lot of different areas on how to run a hotel, incase I get into a business or hotel in the future. Im just worried about the hours. Being an engineering student and having a lot of work, I don't want to wok more than 20 hours a week and the hotel might be more demanding.

Chevy Chase Bank, they will pay more, around $12.50. And theres a set schedule of peak hours, which is 5-17 hours a week. The downside, a lot more stress with opening accounts and such. My friend worked at a bank and hated it.

Anyone ever worked for Chevy Chase and put in their input?

Which job should I go for???

Tough call, the Hotel won't be easy. I used to be in hotel management before moving into IT and it was not a cakewalk. The public has got to where everything has to perfect (ie the way THEY want it) or they turn ugly. I hate to say this but I worked in everything from a Holiday Inn Express to Doubletree Exec and the lower the income level of the guest the more complaining that goes on. On the flip the side the Business class is so full of ego exploded salepeople that dealing with them could be hard as well. Also keep in mind that hotels are 24/7 operations and the turnover rate is extremely high. How much would you be called on to help out because "john called in again today"
