Mine would be :

1. Commandos 2: Men of Courage (One of the best strategy game's I have ever played :))
2. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault

Company of Heroes + OF...

Playing as the British, re-enacting the paradrop on Arnhem bridge in which my Grandfather took part... is a strange feeling be thoroughly enjoyable. The only thing that gets hurt in that re-enactment is my PC's feelings when I swear like crazy at it.

I've not played Company of Heroes, mainly due to my old PC before. Looks, like I'll like to buy it soon!

If you liked commandos check out Soldiers: Heros of WWII, its awesome.

My fav WWII games are between CoH, Soldiers and CoD1.

BF1942 - Just for the size of the battle

Medal Of Honor: Airborne - The battle engagements just barely were better than COD2

COD2 - Great single player with a mulit to boot

I didn't really like Company of Heroes. It was an RTS that does give you the pace of a battle scene from an FPS. If I wanted to go from the top, I would just play commander in BF1942.

The original Medal of Honor on the PlayStation, I liked that game a lot, the first Call of Duty is close, but not as good, and the same thing goes with Company of Heroes, they're good on their own, but the first Medal of Honor was just epic especially for its time.

BF1942 didn't have a commander. That came along in BF2.

What makes Company of Heroes so great to me is the amount of detail involved. The way you can direct your armor and the fact that you have to point them certain directions or a shot to the rear kills it. Just one small detail to a great game.
