I am planning to build a new rig...I need a powerful PC for all around task, including GAMINGS & MULTI-TASKING...........

Which processor should I buy....An AMD Athlon 64 X2 or AMD Dual OPTERON..????

Does Opteron run on Windows XP or only Server OS????

You can run any Opteron on any operating system. They even make a Skt. 939 Opteron. If you're wanting a really high overclock, and are willing to pay alot more $$ for the privilege of doing so, then a dual-core Opteron is for you. If not, get an X2, like the rest of us.
