I'm still struggling between this two choices- Si-120 and Scythe Ninja. Given that I planning to overclock a bit, I would need an extra fan and also since I'm using a 775 chip, I would need a seperate bracket too.

Given this 3 things which would be the best price purchase?

si-120 -- $44.50
fan -- $16
775 bracket -- $7

Scythe Ninja -- $40
fan -- $16
775 bracket -- $7

Is this the correct breakdown? I searched the usual websites, but not sure if there any 'cooling' websites that I might have missed. Thanks in adv.

The Ninja should already be compatible with socket 775 so there's no need for an extra bracket. What fan do you plan on using?

hrrm, guess I assumed I need the bracket since there was the option there when I placed it onto my cart.
Havent' decided on a fan yet, but I saw that most fans were around the $10-$15 ran.

Any suggestions, performace, price and sound in that order?

:edit:
For the si-120, seems like svc has the best price compared to
frozencpu, jab-tech and sidewindercomputers

$44.69 - si-120
$5.00 - lga775 bracket

I'm leaning towards the si-120 since it might cool the rest of the components off.

The Ninja outperforms the si-120, but you're right, the si-120's configuration allows it to cool certain components on the motherboard. Howver, if you case has adequate air flow, then it shouldn't really matter anyways. if you pick up the ninja, you end up saving like 10 bucks and you should get better performance. Since you're in the bay area, you can pick up the ninja locally here for 40 bucks" http://www.shoppts.com/scscnihecpuc.html
