Which is the better gaming rig?

Ok so I found these two very reasonably priced barebones bundles from Tiger Direct today. My goal is to use them for mostly gaming such as games like Diablo 3, Guild Wars 2, WOW and future games that release. These are the specs:

FIRST BUNDLE:

- MSI 760GM-E51 (FX) AMD 760 Motherboard
- AMD FX-8120 Processor (8 Core) 3.10Ghz
- Sony Optiarc 24x DVDRW Drive 24x SATA
- Corsair 4GB DDR3 RAM 1333Mhz
- ^ Again for a total of 8GB of RAM
- Seagate Barracuda 1TB Hard Drive SATA
- 450W PSU

SECOND BUNDLE:

- Intel Core i5-3570K CPU 3.40GHz (4 Core)
- GIGABYTE GA-Z77-DS3H Intel 7 Series Motherboard
- ADATA 8GB DDR3 RAM 1333Mhz
- Seagate 1TB HDD
- 24x DVDRW
- 650W PSU

I was hoping to purchase this GPU, the Galaxy GeForce GTX 560 1GB Video Card

ANY input would be much appreciated as to what the better unit would be to run these games at max settings along with the GPU, I don't want to go over these prices because Im on a budget. Thanks to all who take the time to read this!

Are you overclocking? What are the prices? That determines the value.

Either way, the 1st bundle only has a 450w PSU which will be pushing it with a 8120 and 560 if overclocking.

The 2nd bundle is a lot better performer, especially for gaming.

Well the first bundle is (both after rebate) $525 and the second is $621

I don't think i'll be overclocking as it's my first ever setup and I don't want to fry anything, knowing me...

If I DONT oc would the first bundle run ok with the GPU?

Second bundle. I would feel more comfortable with the +200W afforded by its power supply. I think most people would rather have a 3570K over an 8120, as well.

The only benefit of the first bundle is that the money saved can be put towards the GPU. In that case you would likely need to buy a new power supply, negating any money saved.

Just a thought...you might want to upgrade to a gtx580...about 100.00 more and much better performance...you will definitely need a 600+psu to run high end graphic cards et al.

I like the Intel better. The one thing you might consider being that the board is a Z77 is getting a SSD drive. The pricing on them are dropping pretty good. Load your OS on it and whtever couple of games you play the most (I have WoW and D3 on mine) and they will absolutely scream. Load all your other programs on your mech disk and that machine will rock nicely.

Definitely go with Intel. If you aren't planning on overlocking, there's no real need for a K processor. You might want to consider looking at the older Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs, such as the 2500k, to potentially help save some money. The slight performance advantages of Ivy Bridge aren't always worth the additional cost, especially if you can find a deal on a Sandy Brige CPU or a used one.

The power supply for the first bundle is cutting it close. The FX processors eat up a lot of power, though this may not be an issue without OCing. Still, given the performance advantage Intel offers, it's worth the extra cost.
