So I'm looking at a couple laptops and wondering which (if either) is the better deal. More Bang for the Buck...
It's for my wife and she wants to use this and replace her desktop. She mainly uses Outlook, Publisher, internet, etc. No gaming or video editing or anything like that.
These are all Sony laptops (have to get Sony for a rebate). The ones I've found so far are:
VGN-BX660PS1 - $1159
Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66Ghz, 512 Ram, 60Gig HDD, CD-RW/DVD-Rom COmbo Drive, Built in NIC, WIreless, & Bluetooth, 15.4" screen.
VGN-BX660PS2 - $1290 (faster, more RAM, built in DVD burner which she may never use, bigger HDD
Core 2 Duo T5600 1.83Ghz, 1Gig Ram, 80 Gig HDD, DVD-RW/CD-RW Drive, Built in NIC, Wireless, & Bluetooth, 15.4" Screen.
Could also go with something with a Pentium M 1.73 Ghz processor, 60 gig HDD, 512 RAM, no DVD burner, for $1100 which she might get by fine with but for the extra $60, thought the Core 2 Duo would be worth it.
Are these overpriced or worth the price listed on them? I do get more off via their trade-in program but don't want to get screwed regardless.
