which is the better deal

Best Buy: BFG Geforce FX 5600 256MB with underclocked 325mhz core (as opposed to standard 350mhz) for $149
CompUSA: Visiontek Radeon 9600 128MB for $99 (after rebate)

comparing to newegg prices, both of these seem like reasonable deals, or are there better deals? ive heard the 256MB on the 5600 are pretty useless

i will take brands into consideration, but id prefer this not be an ATI vs nVidia thread. i just want the faster card. im just trying to make a decision between two cards, not two companies

Truthfully, neither are any good for the prices. A 9600 Pro should be around $160 (haven't checked prices lately) so that would be MUCH better than either of those two.
