$20 steak =/= $40 prime steak

Keefer's in Chicago.

The Palm in LA is a close 2nd IMO. Mastro's did manage to serve me a prime rib that could have fed a small African country for a week though.

flemmings is a large hit here in Indianapolis...although i know that the Ruth Chris is extremely good from experience. We also have a place called St. Elmo's that is very popular for steaks. There is a Morton's here and i have heard good things from friends, but i have never experienced it.

St. Elmo's is good.

I know what it feels like to pour burning gasoline into my sinuses thanks to their cocktail sauce.

Bern's Steak House, Tampa, Fl.

End of Thread!

Hmm, I would say Berns is a close second to the ChicagoChopHouse. Very close second though ;).

Wow! My two favorites in the same post!

And we both live half hour away from each other on the other side of the country..... Weird.

Hard to choose between Smith and Wollensky & Morton's, but I went with Morton's.

:( I'm hungry now.

I've been to Mortons, Flemings, Ruth's Chris as well as Sullivan's.

Of those, Ruth's Chris is the best, IMO.

Never been to any of them but Mortons and that was alright but nothing out of this world or anything.

I've made better steaks at home.

No where special, just the local grocery store, Publix.

Guess it's all about personal taste preference though.

S&W is a great chain.

I also like Gibsons in Chicago. I haven't had a chance to try Peter Luger's here in NYC.
