32MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(TM) 4 420 Go?
64MB NVIDIA(R) GeForce(TM) 4 440 Go +1394 & 5-in-1?
ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) 9000 IGP?
Intel(R) Extreme Graphics?
64MB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) 9200?

Come on geeks. I need answers!

I would agree. Dedicated on board chips will be far superior to any integrated graphics solution with shared VRAM. Intel Extreme and ATi IGP are both integrated. Avoid integrated if possible. The 9200 and 440 are both low end but capable. They will not directly support most of the latest DX9 features but will still play older games and won't hog your system memory.

The 64MB 440 over the 32MB 420 is a no brainer. The 1394 and 5 in 1 card reader have nothing to do with the graphics chip but are a nice feature in any laptop.

The top of that heap would be the 440 go or the 9200. It would be close I think.

the go440 will probably be a little better than the 9200, but cant you cut down on cpu and beef up the vid card a bit, staying in ur price range

9200 for sure. I can play 800x600 mode of Doom 3 on my zt3000 that uses the 9200. While the R3000z which had the 440go barely kept up with 640x480. Also, the 440go has compatibility issues with some older games such as midtown madness2 (completely unplayable).
