which is the best match for which rig?

here are the two rigs

1) Athlon XP 2000, 512 PC2100, 2x40Gb, onboard sound

2) Intel P4 2.4Ghz, 768 RDRAM 800mhz, 1x80Gb, creative Audigy sound

i have these two cards

nvidia Geforce 3 Ti200

ATI Radeon 9500pro.....

at the moment i am thinkin that the Athlon rig is holding back the 9500pro, and think the GF3 would be better in there as the rig itself is weak point for most games like generals and UT2004

at the moment the 9500 is in the Athlon, and the GF3 in the pentium

think i should swap it round?

To know for sure which is the best way to setup, stick each card into each system and run a bench or two. Then you will know

9500 + pentium is the way to go for sure

Having played Generals with a 2000+ and Ti 200 I can tell you that the processor will hold you back in certain games and the vid card will in others. Don't expect to be able to play with more than 4 people with that processor online, or play with graphics higher than medium and a 1024x780 res with that card - that game is a beast with o/c'ed systems especially. Don't mess up your gameplay by putting the poor card with the good processor or visa versa.

well put the ATI and Intel together and what a team!!!! jus cant play UT upstairs now....which is probably a good thing wont spend so much time on it...got exams soon!!
