Who Wants to be a Millionare

Why? Because you cannot miss a single question. On jeopardy, you can miss a few and still win.

edit

OK, I was wrong. Don't lynch me.

well, this is what I am trying to get to,

why bother play Jeopardy if Who Wants tb Milllonaire pays so well. I mean, each episode in Jeopardy you get like 2000 bucks or 4000 max. sh!t, 6 questions in WWTBM gets you 16000 already and any dumbass can do that.

Jeopardy has a certain level of prestige that goes with it. It has always been considered one of the most difficult modern quiz shows to win. You're also competing against two other people, so not only do you have to be right, you have to be consistently fast.

Jeopardy is way freaking harder!! Since when does Jeopardy give a you a 25% chance as soon as the question pops up? How about the call a friend option? Jeopardy is hands down a million times harder. Look how long it has taken Ken to win 750k.. How can anyone in their right mind think that answering 16 questions is harder than playing jeopardy??? 22 days of domination by being an expert of nearly every category known to man is harder than sitting around with Regis getting 4 possible answers in front of you and 3 helpers????? LOL

I agree. It pisses me off to watch this guy dominate, and that someone with half his skills can go on millionare, guess a few questions and get help on others, and still win more than he will.

Jeopardy is definitely harder... the questions are MUCH harder, you dont have as much time as you want to think about a question, and you dont have those life-lines...

Jeopardy's questions are harder, but like someone else already said, you can get some wrong and still be a winner.

depends on how you look at it - someone always "wins" on an episode of jeopardy, but not that many w/ at millionaire

Who wants to be a millionaire has ridiculously easy questions pretty much until $125k.

Jeopardy is much, much harder. And the prizes are smaller.

depends on how you look at it - two people "lose" on an episode of jeopardy, but all those on millionare are losers

ummm... in jeopardy... you can win and have 13K or something... in millionaire... most people "loose" and leave with 32K....

Big money! Big money! Big money! STOP!

PS Jeopardy is harder, you actually have to have a brain. Millionaire is rigged; they would never pick Ken, in favor of someone dumber to go with dumber questions(it's better if your audience can answer the questions too), and then that person will be too panicked/dumb to answer the top questions, which are barely double jeopardy in toughness

jeopardy is harder, and much more prestigious. if you don't know the answer, you have to guess off the top of your head, and if you guess wrong, you lose money.

who wants to be a millionaire answers are multiple choice. if you don't know the answer, you can guess based on what's available. a lot of lucky guesses went through and won big bucks. not to mention the lifelines that are available.

Edit: i forgot, Ken Jennings will go far to the top at Who Wants to be a Millionaire.

Question for question Jeopardy is. Not only that but you're competing against 2 other people and their intellect/knowledge.

I watched WWTBAM, once, it was a crock. Even the "hard" questions were easy as hell. The whole show is just about watching people being given large sums of money, that's it.

Jeopardy is much much more competitive/interesting.

True. I remember one episode of millionare where the million dollar question was, "How many miles away from the Earth is the Sun?"

The final question was something any educated fourth grader knows, or a 200 dollar question on Jeopardy.

I think the original question needs to be clarified a little bit...
If you consider "winning" on WWTBAM to be making it to millionaire, then it's harder...
But, the pace is much easier, less pressure, plus you get phone a friend, etc. So, in regards to the pressure, it's easier.
But, I've had a feeling for quite a while while watching the show that they try to pick questions that fall well outside your area of knowledge, based on what they know of you. Well, after about 32K, that is.
But, regardless of lifeline usage, you ultimately have to answer EVERY question correctly. Whereas on Jeopardy, you can just plain not answer (as well as answer wrong).

Personally though, I think I'd be a much stronger contender on jeopardy than on who wants to be a millionaire. Maybe that's why I think of jeopardy as easier.
