Which is more beneficial on an OC?

I have a 6800nu that I'm playing with right now, and I've managed to get 2 "optimal" (optimal meaning *I* have tweaked it... not Find Optimal Settings coolbits style) overclocks. One is higher memory speeds with lower core speeds and the other is higher core speeds with lower memory speeds.

My two OC's:
392/834 -- Higher core / Lower mem
-or-
370/858 -- Lower core / High mem

I haven't done anything but overclock using coolbits on my Valence 71.20b's and I don't plan to do anything else such as change the cooler, increase voltage, etc. I could probably get these OC's higher, but I'm not really a hardcore OC'er.

But in the grand scheme of things (pretend that these values were DRASTICALLY different), which is overall better for performance? Higher mem / lower core or higher core / lower mem?

In my opinion they are pretty equal.

edit: at least on the 6800 series cards.

id oc 375/850 balance it out.
BUT memory might be better because it only has 128mb.

It really depends on the games you play. Newer DX9 games tend to be very core reliant, while older games were often very memory reliant. This is a bit of a simplistic view, but it works as a rough rule of thumb.
