Which is faster?

Two Geforce4 Ti4200 128MB, one running 290/660, the other 327/587. 3DMark favors the higher core speed slightly, games appear to have equal framerates. Is this right?
 
that makes sense, since the memory running at 587 probably supplies enough bandwidth that the GPU can take advantages of higher speeds, whereas the lower clocked GPU is maxed out bandwidth wise and probably. if you tun on FSAA, however, i bet you will see the board with higher memory perform better, as FSAA creates a higher demand for memory and thus core speeds are less important.
