which is faster, X1300 Pro, or 8400GS, both PCI-E

Just curious. I gave one friend who doesn't play games a 8400GS PCI-E card, so he could watch HD videos, and I gave someone else a X1300. That person said he wanted to play TF2.

I hope I made the appropriate decisions on which person to give which card.

According to that, the 8400GS is faster at 3DMark06, by a fairly good percentage. Hmm.

The 8400GS at least has a unified shader architecture, and it will therefore be much faster than the X1300.

8400 gs > 1300 but neither will be particularly good, that said even a cheapo vid card these days will run tf2 with ease.

Side note: I played tf2 for years on a laptop with a 8400M gs. Terrible piece of crap but it was playable, as long as you turn things down.
