Which is faster? Mobility Radeon IGP320M or Mobility Radeon 7500?

Thnks, but how did you figure that out? Just out of curiosity.

I'm glad cos i'm choosing a lappy with the Radeon 7500.

The IGP320M is an integrated solution, sharing the system RAM. Something you want to avoid at all cost, if you use the machine to play any games, 3D, photediting...

The Mobility Radeon 7500 will have its own dedicated graphics memory, and is MUCH faster than the IGP320M. Check out Toms Hardware for separate comparison on both here

Example:

IGP320M
1024x758x32
3DMARK2001se 1537
QuakeIII 32 fps

Mobility Radeon 7500
1024x768x32
3DMARK2001se 3731
QuakeIII 71,1 fps

Thnks Dafinn,

but the HP lappy i wanna get states 64mb shared memory? To me it means system & video memory shared?

I may translate it wrongly or HP website typo error.

Whatever it is, i'm happy.

I think all or most laptops use shared memory. Just make sure that you get more memory in the lappy (like 512??)
